I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions as they tend to lead to failure, which can have a negative effect on your outlook, which in turn affects every other area of your life.
I am, however, a great believer in reviewing your life, setting some goals and actions plans to make those goals a reality.
But first of all, you need to get your mind-set right. If you find that you keep repeating the same old patterns which result in negative outcomes, then it’s time to make some serious changes.
Key decisions that we make when we are young, can deeply affect the rest of our lives. The trouble is we are generally not aware of those key decisions because they take place at a subconscious level and usually at a time that we prefer not to think about too much. The result is that we play out our lives according to those key decisions, often with devastating results, not only for ourselves, but for those around us also.
So this year, when you are sitting down with your pen and paper setting your goals for 2018, consider what your negative repeating patterns of behaviour are, and ask yourself:
- Why do I do this?
- When did I start to act in this way?
- Who else is affected by this behaviour?
- What will it take to change this pattern of behaviour?
If you are serious about change, then get in touch to discuss how together we can change the negative consequences of those limiting key decisions, so you can start to reclaim your true identity and live the life you really want to live.
I look forward to hearing from you.
